Québec invests $222.9 M to address domestic violence

Only four months have passed in 2021 and 10 women have been assassinated by a man in Quebec, a very sad report that has already exceeded last year’s number. Facing this plague, Legault government announced a plan of about $223 M over five years to fight against domestic violence and femicides. Of the $222.9 M reported Friday by Public Security Minister, Geneviève Guilbault, $92 M are dedicated to shelter homes and centres for women who are victims of domestic violence.
